What is this connector for?...EFI GPR

Today I was looking through the wiring harness on my GPR to see if it has a ECU tach lead like my SHO. On the SHO it is an unused two lead connector, black & green/blue with a white plug on it. The reason I'm looking for it is to log AFR & rpm at the same time with an LM-2 like I can on the SHO. This is the only unused plug I could find, but the wires aren't the same color as the other ski. Could this be the direct tach lead or is it an interface connector for Yamaha YDIS?

    Eh...????

Just had a look in the workshop manual there..

    On page 7-46..

It seems this connector is in fact a tach out connection..???
How has no one discovered this in seven years of fuel injected GPR's being around

Seems i don't know how to attach a single page from the manual.. ()

    Interesting find there MJH

Awesome...thanks Quad. I think the reason nobody has ever used it is because it's hard to find electrical tachs that can be calibrated for 2-stroke engines since most are for automotive applications. It's much easier to use a pulse tach like a PET or TT. I had the same issue with finding a electrical tach for my SHO because of how Yamaha set up it's signal until I got a LM-2 AFR meter/logger that has an analog cable which can be calibrated for almost any signal. Thanks for the help dude...AFR logs don't mean much unless you can also see corresponding rpm.
