Touch downs on billet impellers
How many of you have experienced touch downs on your C-kits?
I know this is quite common but what can you do to it after it has lightly touched down?
Does this mean it is now junk?

a SC Impeller touchdown on new generation C kits , is allways a bad bearing or a bad bearing installation in the first place, blade expansion at high RPM can also give the blade a very very small toch down, but as long the blades have no "lip", there is no performance issue.
you can just machine the baseplate for the SC on the shaft 0.1 mm down , so you get a bit more clearance, and you will never have a touch down. Les builds the SC for my taste a bit on the tight clearance,

Yeah the touch down i have is only very light and there no ''lipped edges'' on the blade.
I have just cleaned up the front cover and will test tomorrow and i will get the wheel balanced again next week.

i like it tight...
for me the best running superchargers always have some light touch down's.... a little tight maybe just right
