    retainer change out?'s

    Changing out the retainers and having an issue. On the first 4 two of them had no problem. On the next two i get no pressure when I tighten the Ruva tool down, air exscaping somewhere.

    You don't need the compressor.
    I had the same problem,there is a better way.
    Just put a small rope in the sparkplughole on the cylinder you are working on,fill the cylinder with the rope and put the piston in top position,this way the valves can't drop.
    Works better,and much more quiet for sure.

    If air starts leaking when you start to wind the tool down tap the top of the bolt on the tool with a small hammer and it will release the collets from the taper and come out normally.
    Most I do need to be tapped to shock them loose not uncommon at all.
