    Pump bearing washer

I have seen the Yamaha service bullentin issued in September 09 stating the bearing washers should be changed with the new 2010 part.

If I was to buy a new 2009 FZS from one of the dealers now should they already have replaced this faulty part when I buy now or are they waiting for them to fail and then doing it then?

    Matt.

I have been running the 09 spacer on my ski since day one. Never had an issue.

That is great to hear Jerry. If it can survive with the power you are putting down it should be safe for us stockish guys.
Can't wait to see what the yamaha dealer says about the spacer, hmmmm....

Thats great news especially with your power output.
I am going to get a run-out 09 while they are good buying.

If it fails could it cause any engine damage or just a loss of power?

    Matt.
