Starting 04 Seadoo RXP Piston Re-ring

I have the rings for the pistons but I was just wondering if there is anything else I might need for the process. I would hate to get it apart and find out there is something else I might need because I am planning on finishing it this weekend time permiting.

    Thanks,
    Clint

Im assuming your understanding the mechanical aspect of the job at hand...if it's apart then you should replace rod/crank bearings, all the stretch bolts replacement is required, your going to have work those cylinders somehow so the head has to come off, theres more stretch bolts to replace so the list goes on in my opinion....

Right I was just going to try to head off the parts side so I wouldnt have to wait on the parts to get here

If its an 04 a set of 07+ exhaust valves would be a wise investment.

Why does it need rings if the engine only has 80 hours?

Rod bolts, rockershaft bolts, head bolts, headgasket(I would get a RIVA gasket), oil, oil filter, PTO gasket, coolant, may as well change the carbon ring, boot, RightStuff, Lock-tite, etc. It adds up quick.

Oh yeah, this is a good idea, too. Also, will need a valve job and the head cut. May also need the block decked. So far that I have seen they all need the head cut and block decked. Especially if you plan on running high boost.

May not torque properly, may break. I have heard of rod bolt failure from reusing them. I have seen head bolts reused, but I wouldn't do it. I have reused rockershaft bolts without issue, but last teardown I replaced mine to be on the safe side.
