    Question about posted X OEM ECU Timing map

    I have seen this posted a few places on the forums, and am wondering how accurate it is. The general consensus is to tune a ski running the X-ECU for 8000-8100 RPM's but if you look at the timing map, the timing falls off way before that, around 7600 according to this posted info. Is this correct? Or should I not put much faith in the timing curves posted here as being the actual X ECU map? Unfortunately you cant spin this thing, so you really can't see how much timing is pulled after 7600 RPM at full load. But according to this map, it starts pulling ALOT of timing, WAY before the 8000 rpm point I've heard.

    Too bad we can't get maps like this for other ECU's sure would make tuning easier... Guess there's no substitute for a standalone

    That would make sense for the timing to drop pretty quickly since at that point the boost climbs pretty quickly

    I would be real cautious without race gas. An aftermarket ecu is prolly the BEST way around it.
