Cracked GP Hull - Question
I'm thinking of picking up a GP1200 hull to replace my Waveraider one. The problem is that it was bumped into a dock and has a crack above the waterline. It has been repaired, but I wanted to ask how well these hulls hold up after a crack. I'm thinking if I get it I take it for more fiberglass repair. After a crack can the hull ever regain the strength and reliability as before?

If it done right it last forever I had a huge hole in mine. I repair it and it looks great and very strong!

Its a 6 inch crack above the waterline. I can't really see it from the picture, but this is what was sent to me. I believe it to be in the green circle in a vertical pattern.

You need to get to good glass. The problem is the 97s have known problems with cracking.
I'm in the process of building a 98 now, it had a couple small cracks, so long as you use Epoxy resin and good biax, you should be okay. My old hull was just completely fatigued.
