    06 rxp cam shaft timing

guys... I am replacing my head gasket on my stage III; 2006 Rxp. when i do my cam is it better to have the timing advance or set at 0 TDC? And what are the benefits if there is any of having the timing advance?

    Thanks for your help.

    ride plate Question

I have my ride plate buff like a baby's but. is it better smooth or rough/ and if is better rough what can i do to get it back to normal? I was told that rough is better caus it creates bubles under and is less friction than when is smooth. is this true or BS?

    Thanks

Lock the cam, rotate the motor counter clockwise (looking from the jet unit) until 1/2 -3/4 of the crank location hole disappears (upwards) where the crank locking tool goes in.

Better yet, run a 2004-05 model 215 cam & time it the same.
