    Ultra 250 X 2008

    I have run my ULTRA 250 '08 for more then 80 hours now and it seems to have lost some high end oomph.

    1. My rpms have dropped to around 7450 from a high of 7650 but this could also be due to the nut on the impeller shaft. Comment please.

    2. thinking of upgrading with the 09 cams and pistons. What are the things I have to look out for.

    3. No timing advance made yet. What should I try it with the 08 setup ?

    4. Would a blow off block off be advised ? Or just working on the stock BlowOff ?

    5. I would very much like to have 300-400 more rpms with minimal work.

    Currently running R n D air , rideplate and sponsons set as deep.
    Tropical weather.. high humidity, 36-39 degree air with 33-38 water.

    Any comments welcomed.

    ill bet your supercharger belt needs snugging up a bit.

    i bet it doesnt nver had a belt issue as yet. even with the front bracket of the s/c breaking off i never had belt slip.
    the nut wont affect rpm forget '09 cams just do pistons if you feel the need.
    block your BOV, do the timing, instant 150-200rpm gain.

    supercharger belt is fine.

    waiting for my BOV block off plate now.

    what timing should I go with.. 2-4 ? to be conservative ? Ski is used for CC and Enduro..

    we have choice of ROn 95 and ROn 97 at the pumps here.
