    engine upgrade

How hard is it to make increase the dislacement on the sl engine (1995 sl 650). Is it like a sportster where u just change the cylinder and pistons or do you need to have a different crank. I am new to working on jet skis but since I am already working on my tigersharks I was thinking what the hell. I was going to see how big I could go.

a 650 can be built up to a 780 with the 650 bottom end

    Welcome Parrothead!!!!

Elyria huh? I'm in Euclid, not too far from you.

Sportster too? Got me one of them as well.

Are you a member of xlforum.net?

Yeah, the top end is the only thing that needs to be changed out to make it bigger.

As ironic as it is, I have a complete 780 top end for sale if interested.

hey xlint. My girlfriend had the sportster now. I was going to go a bit crazy with the motor on it and I decided that I would just go for a bigger bike and bought a 02 ultra and rebuilt it with some new cams 95 inch kit and some head work I will have to get in contact with you because I am thinking of doing that to the polaris. I want to get the tigersharks done but I don't think it is going to take me as long as I originally thought.

You sound like me. Except I KEPT the Sporty, installed .536 cams, did an 88" kit, and used STD heads with work.

You can always reach me on here. I love this place and visit here many times a day.
