    Question Prop Question,.. again. 2001 1200XLT

    Hello good people of greenhulk,.

    I need help with a prop mod i want to do for this season.

    I e-mailed a few shops around Long Island and got a mixed impression. Based on my modifications done, what would be the best prop for TOP SPEED. i know this question has been asked, discussed, and re-asked again, but answer is always the same,.. " it's based on what you want (top speed) and the list of your modifications ( see signature).

    In addition to the mods below, im adding RIVA / Boyesen Reed Stuffer Kit (66V), RIVA Flame Arrestor Kit this spring.

    So please, puhlease what prop should i get to get more TOP SPEED?.

    If you are adding F/A's you will need to rejet your carbs. The Free Flow exhaust I am assuming this is the sound suppression removal which will cost you some top end speed on a stock motor. Right now without a higher compression head I would say you are still in the 12/18 range for a prop.

    after building a few thousand xlt's here on the island.What are you mixed about???
    You can easily put a 13/19 solas on that xlt here on the "ISLAND"
    NOW if you really want "TOP SPEED" with that pump, a custom NUJET 6.5 will easily put you about 2 mph above the solas....
    of course this is providing you have a ski without "issues"--- if r's are down or theres problems elsewhere in the ski... dont put a "band-aid" by adding an impeller.

    the ski is problem free, i'll check compression this spring and after a test run order the nujet 6.5 from you

    what would the "custom" NUJET part entail? im curious and ready to order, with a new wear ring.
