need info on a 03 polaris freedom, any good?

like the title says, looking to find out if a 03 freedom 700cc is any good. The jetski needs a motor(still in it) and the jetski is $500, is it worth it? or are they a nice unit to have? any info would help greatly.

I'd only consider buying it if you have the ability/confidence to fix it your self. It would also depend on the condition of the engine. If the lower end is still in good condition, and the hull looks nice, I'd probably go for it. If it needed a crank, I'd probably let it go.

if you can get it for cheaper id go for it! but like ryanb said if the cranks bad your going to spend big bucks getting a new one.. that's just if your doing it your self..

you can find a running ski for that.. if your willing too go older.. i have a sl1050 i picked up for a grand with a trailer in running condition.. but there are deals all over the place..

The Freedom uses the same hull as the Virage. I own a Virage, and it rides nicely in smooth up to mildly choppy waters. Very stable hull, comfortable with one or two people. I think the Freedom is only rated for two people.

The Polaris two cylinder engine is very economical on fuel, and in the Virage/Freedom hull it can achieve about 50mph, give or take.

You can get a rebuilt 700cc engine from SBT for about $800
Can somebody confirm that the Freedom engine is 700cc, not 777cc ?

Or you can rebuild the engine yourself. The crank needs to be rebuilt in a shop (unless you get lucky and the exiting crank is usable), but everything else is doable with hand tools on a workbench.

i was always under the impression that the freedom has the 700cc motor, from what i have read the freedom is also the entry level machine same as the virage hull wise, the virage i has the 777 motor,

i have a few links to confirm
