    Air Intake

Is there anything speacial the riva air intake had that a regular intake with a k&N filter from Oreilys doesnt. I am looking to replace mine as a starting modification. If I get a jo blow intake with the right filter and it all fits and sets where it should will this work. what do i do with the sensors from the old intake?

there is just one big sensor in the air box up front. bolt it down near your battery as you will be sucking ambient air. you will also have to reroute your oil fume line into your new intake and thats it, just make sure you put your cone in a dry spot

I bought a Spectre SS filter from Auto Zone and ran the vent to a catch can.

The RIVA air filter are coated SS. The Spectre air filter is suppose to be SS, but it will rust even when using in freshwater only. Do a 4" front air, get a RIVA air filter for a Kawi 250X about same price as a Spectre with the GH discount. You will need catch can or cut the KANAFLEX and put the breather hose back in the air intake. Also, I think Spectre may make an adapter that would work.

Run no airfilter. Unless your riding through a plague of locusts.

i looked at the catch can model. I can make it. i saw in his model thats it looked like he took a hose to the catch can from the engine. I dont have a hose there. do i just need to take the clear tube in that runs to the air intake hose and run it to the catch can, or do i need to install something like this set up.
