    1200 Primer

I'm feeling rather dumb today but, Which fuel line do I need to put the bigger T fitting in for my primer kit.

I am going to assume the line that comes out of the fuel/water seperator but I could be wrong...

I dont know why I cant remember where it needs to go.. Probably because I gave up caffine a few weeks ago.

    Tap into the return line.

Hmm, okay.. Just seems strange to me.

Return line is the brass fitting from the center carb correct?

    Again,
    I feel dumb today.

most guys like the return line so you don't restrict the feed line with the small openings on that tee .

I don't like using the supply line either, the size of those plastic T's makes for a huge restriction to me. The brass is a little better but not much.

On the return line all you have to do is install it so there is a "trap" in the hose and then put your primer T at that location. The trap (just like the one under your sink at home) will always have fluid.

I've seen a few guys/gals install the primer and then not check fuel pressure/jetting and wonder why it runs hotter/leaner. It's not always just because the choke flaps have been removed but a combination of the two IF you tap into the supply line.

    Too much Restriction = Lean

    My pennies worth.

I went to the return line for the primer...

We shall see how it works out.. I always have fuel line handy at the shop so I can change if necessary.

    Thanks all for the responses,

    primer

my pro has twin feed lines.the virage has the same carbs but only 2 pumps and one supply line with the brass fitting, fuel pressure runs 4.5 psi wot 7200 rpm.corey at liquid force discovered that 46mm or bigger carbs can't pull enough fuel thru a single f/w seperator.i'd imagine the same would apply to big carbs and single supply lines.doesn't the pro785 with 44mm carbs run a single line and seperator.i could see that ski being affected by the brass tee with 7800 rpm potential. but i do run a drill bit thru the fittings and open them like one size.

Yeah Doug, it's one of those tricky installs due to set up.
Everything I run is carbed pretty big so the more fuel the better. I've seen a lot of stuff over the years so I really like to error on the side of caution, especially with fuel supply.
I talked to somebody else awhile back and they felt like there was a possibility of sucking air through the primer...I never really gave it much thought as I use the return line but maybe??
There's always plenty of fuel sitting in the trap for cold starts, so I figure why not just leave the supply line alone.
