    Turbo FXSHO on the water

Its finaly happened, the turbo kit we tested more than 12 months ago on our engine dyno is up and running in our FXSHO. http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthre...&highlight=421

I was waiting till we got a decent jet unit sorted but a whole lot of other work got in the way so I said lets just throw it in and see what happens

Just tested it up at our local lake and while the stock jet unit is absolutely sh*t the feeling of that huge surge of power through the mid range just cant be beaten.
I borrowed one of Gary Watson's bored Jet units with a 13/27 prop but its not even looking like hooking up even on moderatly tight corners.
I can hear the patter through the exhaust of the wastegate flutter (love it) at just on 14 psi boost and the thing is just begging for more boost.
Sitting there idling all you can hear is the injectors operating instead of that disconcerting supercharger clutch rattle.

We know from our dyno testing that the turbo makes 30-40 more HP than the S/C at the same boost and with this set up we have got another 7 PSI to go at the push of a button.

Still running the equivalent of 94 USA fuel so cant wait to stick this thing on some good fuel and get some ignition timing into it.
I am running our Jet Boat nozzle at the moment which again is shi*t for speed but the cornering thrust is unbelievable.
Will try and get some pics tommorow before we shoot off home.
I know you are going to ask what speed and I dont have the GPS on it at the moment, I am sure its not quick with the nozzle on it but OMG the accel is just to die for

how do you maintain the heat under the seat ??

from my experience from a turbo rxp, it gets extremely HOT in the engine bay!

That looks familiar. Nice setup, what turbo are you using?
