    MSX150 rebuilt

Does anyone know of a place to buy a reman weber longblock? Or do I have to rebuild original? Was thinking of buying a ski with a bad motor.
    Thanks for any help
    Ray

    Ray,

Kevin had his 150 rebuilt by Jay when he was at Atlantic Powersports.
He colored and marked the order of installation of bolt on items into the boat so we didn't even need to use the manual.
We bought it in pieces, so his expertise with the Weber/Polaris combination was awesome.
Jay now works at Sharp's Marine(NY) and his member name is 4strokepolaris.

Randy at Watcon(WA) is also rebuilding and repairing the Weber powerplants so between those two, opposite ends of the US are covered.

    follow up

Spoke to both shops this week. It's $5500 for a new longblock and around $3000 to rebuild one. Knowing that it just doesn't seem worth it to buy a ski for 500-1000 dollars and put that much money in it when you can find them in good shape for 3-4k. But then again it would be close to having a new ski when done--can't make up my mind.

Well, if you opt for desperado's ECU reflash, it can be faster than new, and still have good fuel economy.

I know when I talked to Jay about getting a motor rebuilt last year he was telling me how he does "updates" to the motor as he is building it to take care of know problems from the factory. You would then end up with a brand new motor that is better then a used ski.

Arrow Two 2004 polaris 110hp turbo engines

I don't know the condition, but these two engines are available on eBay , with zero bids, no reserve, and a $1,000 starting price.

Maybe I should by them, just on spec...

My understanding is that all the MSX 110 core engine components are the same as the MSX 150 version. Just transfer anything else needed from your old engine.
