    Problems with 97 gsx

Second owner of gsx. Bought with 60 hours on it. Hadn't been run much in the last 7 years. Original owner really did not do anything to it. After running it for a little over an hour the top end began to seize over and over, till compression was very low. Was told then it was probably fuel delivery. So I changed all fuel lines, fuel pickup baffel, cleaned and rebuilt carbs. And rebuilt top end. Ran to test would not come up to power pistons sticking again. Checked Rotery valve and cooling system. timing was good, and cooling passages clear. Pulled engine out of hull Indexed crank it was spot on. Leak tested bottom End all was good. Starting to get a little frustrated. Any Ideas? Everyone keeps saying fuel delivery is still the cause

    top end seizing

I have a 96 GTX that has went thru three top end failures in pto side . I had also changed fuel lines rebuilt carbs cleaned filters and cleaned vent checkvalves in fuel line venting system. I recently pulled the water box out and bumped on workbench to find a baffle had broken loose. Not sure this caused my problem but there a mulitude of things on these 787 engines to lead to piston seizure . I hope you can find an answer here because I know how frustrating to rebuild engine only to have it fail again for some uknown reason.

Post up pics of the sides of the seized pistons. Are both seizing? Or the same one over and over?

The pics will tell us where to start.

    97 gsx

Both pistons have been seizing. I forgot to change out fuel selector switch. My friend says that could be the problem? I have 0 psi on my return fuel back to tank

Very seldom will you seize both from fuel. It is either too tight of clearance, your oil pump is bad, or the oil filter is gelled and restricting.

Post up the pics so I can see what it is.
