    Ultra 250 blower belt install

I just bought an 07 Ultra 250 with a bad blower belt. Could someone tell me the easiest way to replace it and what the tension should be on the new one? Thanks

    1. disconnect hose from TB to intercooler
    2. disconnect hose from blower outlet to intercooler
    3. unbolt 4 motor mounts
    4. insert log prybar between fingers in coupler and slide motor forward
    5. be careful not slide motor off mounts or you will be stuck with realigning the motor as well.
    6. slide motor forward enough to work new belt in between coupler fingers
    7. slide motor back into place and re-tighten motor mount bolts
    8. loosen tensioner all the way up and the slide belt over crank pulley and blower pulley
    9. tighten tensioner down to the point there is a 1/4 turn of deflection in belt

    pump rattling when flushing

    Hey Dude
It seems to me that this noise is normal while flushing,I know it sounds like crap but it quiets right down while in the water.
I believe its due to water hitting the thin impeller blades and making that tinny loose sound.
I actually feel better seeing someone else with the same concerns.
    good luck.Steve

This noise is in the pump. It's normal on all Ultras, that have no grease left in the impeller shaft socket. If it bothers you to confirm this for yourself, pull the pump out and re grease the shaft then make sure you push the shaft all the way home again getting rid of air pockets. Put back together and start. Will be quieter and when next you hear this rattle you will not ever worry about it again. Best thing to do is see your Kawasaki dealer next time its serviced and ask him to do this.

Nice write up! I know this sounds stupid, but is it possible to take the pump off and pull the prop shaft off the coupler so then you don't have to move the engine??
