Does anyone have any info on the long blade cut back Skats? Does cut back mean the same as "set back", where the hub is machined to move the prop closer to the stator or does it mean the leading edges have been trimmed back.

I just called Skat & he explained that the long blade props have a longer leading edge on the blade(8mm if I remember right), so there is more overlap. The cut back refers to the hub being machined to put the prop closer to the stator. The purpose of the longer blade is to help reduce cavitation & improve acceleration but may cost some top speed. IMO, it sounds like more of a CC prop.

So then the (cut back) is the same thing we have always referred to as (set back).
