100 RPM Gain with Larger Pipe

I replaced the 2.5" pipe (that came with the kit) going to my external cooler from my S3 SC - with a 2.75" pipe and gained 100+ rpm. It's custom cut to match the angles, and I had to buy new silicone couplers of course. I highly recommend doing this if you have a high boost SC and an external intercooler with 3" ports.

    Also ...

For those of you who are running the Riva 3" power filter and are finding extra water in the hull after a ride. You may be pushing on the carbon seal bellows like I was. I fixed this problem using a body mount bushing I got from O'reilly's - I just wedged it in. (see pic below)

nice tip man. I might have to go with the 2.75 route vs 2.5 if this is true.

I would leave the 2.5" coming out of the cooler. And just use a 2.75" pipe going into the cooler. It probably won't make a difference if you are running a stock supercharger, but my S3 sure woke up!

Last weekend I was running 76mph with the 2.5" pipe - I saw 7840 RPM. This week I saw 7960 RPM and could feel the increase in power - in nearly Identical weather conditions. ~3 degrees colder.

Although, the batteries were dead in my GPS - I'm pretty sure I was doing 77mph.

I gained .9 mph top speed with a 2.75" pipe.

Yeah, I was barely able to fit the 2.75" to the stock exhaust through hull coupler.

I will say that I'm seeing big numbers after having switched out the 2.5" pipe for a 2.75" pipe. I'm hoping others will independantly confirm this finding.

your saying that 3in would be good and that your 2.75 coupler was still tight on the waterbox outlet exhaust
