    Should I Pressure Test My New Rebuilt Engine

    Just got finished rebuilding my Gp1200r engine and was wondering if i should take the time to pressure test the engine? What do i find out by doing it? What the procedure on doing it?

    it sounds like you already know the answer It looks like something fairly easy to do if you already have the motor out. Some extra precautions now can save you from major headaches later.

    always pressure test your motors once they are put together.

    The manifold/carb rack area is notorious for leaks. There's a very high chance you will find at least one leak that will need to be addressed. So yes, check it.

    this might be a stupid question...but does the engine HAVE to be out to do a pressure test?

    how much is a kit like this? Seems like a lot of extra expense to endure for someone like me who just needs it once hopefully. Anyone want to lone one out?
