    What's the story Jerry?

Do you remember this saying form the Crazy Eddie Days? LOL!

In any event, I am just in the process of getting my new modified Kawai 260X only to see a recent post on the Sea Doo side which shows the new RXT-X kicking the pants of all other skis in an ocean race. I thought the Kawai 260X was the badest rough water ski on the planet. What's going on here?

You win some, you loose some! The RXT_X is a new platform. So the jury is out. So far its done "well" in the couple of races it's been involved in. It won a race in Australia with a VERY talented rider. People often forget RIDERS do make a difference! The Ultra is still top dog IMO, go check out
www.pwcoffshore.com and look at the various offshore races in the last couple of years, and see who's been on top! WHo know's, maybe its the next best thing. maybe its not. Time will tell...

We have another race coming up at the end of the month. I suspect we should see 1 or 2 RXT-x's and we will see about 6 stock Ultra's. It should be a great battle of the brands. IMO, the racers in this race are all very talented offshore racers on both the Doo's and the Ultra's. SO this to me will be a good measuring stick. For the last 3 weeks, the ocean has been alive, if it holds, it will be both rider skill and craft for sure.

Looks like a pro FZR pilot should be there also so true battle of the brands may be in the mix. Although I doubt MacCluggage (sic?) rides anything close to stock.

I'd like to also see a Yamaha in the mix, but not many folks race them offshore out here. I believe Macc Racing will be at the race, no clue what he's running. I suspect it will be fast tho.
