OK Officially I declare the RIVA Thermostat SETUP a POS!!!!

    OK,

This setup leaked again today just like some of you said it would. Well I guess I am going to get the ROTAX setup. Anyone with any BETTER suggestions????

Too late for that....you have to cut the old thermostat out of the stock housing to install the RIVA....I have decided to go thr rotax route. With as hot as it gets down here the 158 degree thermostat setup should help with heat fade.

Yeah i have the rotax (i think) and haven't noticed much difference. I probably got ripped with a stock piece on ebay that claimed to be rotax but it was cheap.

I've always wondered if the aftermarket thermostats did anything. Has anyone seen any different when running them?

The Rotax is the way to go anywhere above the 47th parallel.

Well upon examination this morning, it appears the Entire billett hose inlet was blown out of the housing so i fixed the original leak the first time but on the second attempt the fixed inlet blew out entirely. The permanent fix would be to JB WELD the inlet back in the housing but I am tired of screwing with it.

JARRETT...I am not sure whether it helps or not. It can't hurt I guess. I thought it might help with heat fade in our weather down here but I haven't been able to keep the RIVA housing in the damn water pump long enough to tell.

I use the 158 degree RR thermo on my skis. No heat fade at all throughout the day.
