Need some help with navigating Jersey waters
I recently purchased a large (for me) boat that is in Florida.
I am having it hauled up here by truck.
I live in NY, but because of all the special permits needed to get over the bridges to NY, I figure I will just have them haul it to New Jersey and drop it in the water there and I will drive it to NY.
My question is, where is a good place to deliver it too?
I am thinking around Point Pleasant and going out the Manasquan inlet?
The boat is 43ft long with a 16'3" beam with a 4' draft, I would love to find a marina that has a lift for that size boat that is close to an inlet.
I would hate to run aground on my maiden voyage because I wasn't familair with the waters, so hopefully there is something very very close to an inlet.
Can anyone give me any other suggestions or is Point Pleasant a good choice?
Thank you in advance...

Lookup marinas in the Atlantic Highlands. It's the most northern beach in NJ at the base of Raritan bay across from the NY Harbor.
