Oh the fun of doing something different............there's always a bug.

Spot the obvious at idle/low revs.

    It's kinda funny.

If the blue tube keeps on flexing in and out like it does in the video ,look for it to crack....a nice polished aluminum elbow would be nice...

False Alarm on vacuum/silicon tube issue.

I don't want to leave threads open ended so here is a cut and paste from my thread in projects section. Hope it helps the interllectuly impaired like myself. At least it resolves an issue.

    Well just call me STUPID!!!!!!

I snuck out early this morning (to be back before the 4 monsters woke up) to the locl boat ramp to check the motec data logging was working correctly. So I backed the ski in and and started it up and ran it for a few minutes and headed home. Remembering open wounds on ankles and brown Brisbane river water don't mix.

Anyway.......when I got back and checked the logged data I found even at wot the ski was only at 6400~ and max boost was at ~10.6psi.

I thought "Crap! No boost. I've done the sprage clutch."

So I started on BigPig, first taking off my temporary air cleaner setup which is using just the original plastic piping and the front part of the air filter.

I found that the air filter had come away from the pipe but didn't think anymore of it.

I checked the s/c wheel and to my great relief it was only free-wheeling one way. Excellent.............but what the hell is causing it to run like this.

Then as the lightbulb came on I realised that that the outside flat plastic part of the air filter was sitting against the inlet pipe, blocking off air flow at anything other than idle. This was causing the no boost and low rpms and the sucked in blue silicon pipes at the intercooler.

Sh_t I'm dumb. No wonder some people think I should never be allowed to play with toys other than leggo.

More of "Days Of Our Lives With BigPig" next week.

Don't you hate that shyte? I setup a cold air intake one time just to get to the lake and have the hose collapse when boost started to kick in. The hose was not stiff enough... Ended that run real quick.
