    Sea-Doo Fuel Consumption

Seems like very little is known about PWC fuel consumption. I tested several high-profile boats with a flow meter. The results might surprise you...

So, theoretically, my 2006 RXT, may be able to reach 80 miles (approximately) on a tank

    15.9 gals/6.8gph = 2.3 (x) 35mph = 82.+/- miles... Did I figure this correctly

I must be close, b/c I did a 75 mile leg last spring and was close to empty - but I don't honestly rem. what I put back in during the fill-up.

We went on a ride last year, running about 45-50mph average, refuelling at 63 miles.
    08 RXP-X took 40.7 liters
    06 GTX 215 45. liters
    02? GTX 155 47 liters....riding double.

RXP's a great on fuel. You can get a long full day on one tank and have some left over to light up the cat's tail if that's your idea of fun after a ride. RXP-X's are another story. Mine has a sniffer and auto pilot for fuel docks.

If you had the capability to measure the fuel flow where is the chart showing the fuel flow for a range of speeds on the pwc? That would be really helpful on the way home when your low on fuel.

I don't know what the speed/RPMs would be, but I would guess it would be the max. speed/RPMs w/o having the SC kick in
