    Hydroturf

So, I installed hydroturf on a 96XP and then read that I should have sealed all the holes. I figured the hydroturf would do that because I was applying it over all of the holes. I also used a chisle to remove the old mats and did not drill out the remaining protion of the rivets. Am I in for a big mess this summer?

You should be fine as long as it doesn't get immersed in water

Seriously, those holes should really be filled

i've done it both ways on my skiis with no leaks. as long as you have plenty of contact cement around the holes and the hydroturf bonds well, you should have no problems.

Too late now on the discount, I did however get the 3M adhesive on the mats, made installation real easy.

You will just get a little more water drippng into the hull, then normal. If you let it sit in the water and a rainstorm comes up, make sure you monitor the leakage. Being that you left the remaining rivets in place will help. It may not leak at all.

Did you see the mats in my avatar? Same as Hydroturf...just cheaper...lol

They are exactly the same design as Hydro Turf, the company is called Jet Traction. I don't if they are still in business. Maybe they are!
