Question Ultra 250X centre storage latch problem

Spring poped out of my centre storage compartment after a large wave jump, have new pin and spring but damned if i can work out which way to resinstall it, a photo or advise would save me losing more hair than the last jump pulled out

As far as I can tell, this is common on the Ultra 250's. Both of mine had the same problem. Very aggravating to say the least, good luck!!

Its only a common problem if people don't do anything to stop it !!!!

it take approx 45 sec to prevent fellas
hot glue gun and 1 beer

just fill the cavity from behind this will STOP the pin from being able to dislodge and then fall out,
I found it mainly happens when you have a heavy item in the glove box and it hits the lid from the in side which flex the pin mount and it falls out
ensure it touch's the pin and the clip part of the lid, will make sense when u look at your lid
(if you ever need to remove the pin put in the oven at 45 degree's C and the glue goes soft and you can pick it out........)

any ways this is what I did back when it first happened to me
just decided to take a pick to explain it better

Genius Waz! I have had to re do mine two times (broke the piece off completely). Somehow in turns when I am far up on the seat my life jacket would "hook" that little black lever and rip the thing off completely. I had to go down to the dealer and look at a new boat to see how to reinstall it. You are always thinking "outside the box" . . . good man!
