Run time for SHO off hose

What's a safe time for running a SHO without using hose? I don't winterize and like to start my skis up once a week to keep the treated gas going through it. I usually do it for 20 seconds..it that safe? Thanks

20 seconds should be ok. as long as it is not revved up. hook up a hose and getting the oil flowing for 5 min. then shut the water off and run it to get the water out. as long as the cylinders do not get hot to the touch you should be fine.

    what does the manual say?

I've had running for about a minute or so no problem. Just no full throtlle shyte.

Realistically, if you want to get her up to any temp at all you need her on the hose.
