New crate 2008 RXT 215hp Black & Silver

    Guys,

I went ahead and bought that bran new crated 2008 RXT Black and Silver 215hp today. I'll pick it up next week.

I gave in and paid 8900, which came out to 9578 after tax, title, and license.

What should I do to the Supercharger before I turn it on? I know it has the metal washers but should I install a Supercharger valve blowoff kit or a surge protector kit?

Thanks for your advice guys !!
    Adam

Just ride it the way it is.
Break it in correctly. Don't use the "learner" key.

Use the regular key. Read the break in procedures.
Change your oil and filter at the latest at 10 hrs.

when you get it and befor you put it in the water double check all the hose clamps are tight. also replace the zip ties on the bailer tubes with gear claps ( small clear tube with a yellow 90 fitting in the middle) and be sure there tied up high. Ive almost sank befor because a bailer tube came off. I would also idle around in the channel with the seat off looking leaks befor hitting the open water.

You could buy my 2008 RXT-X for $8,350. It has the options you really want. See http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=118994

    Dockside,
Where are the bailer tubes located?
I also plan to replace all the exhaust worm gear clamps with T-bolt clamps.

Should I also install a supercharger valve bypass kit or the surge protector kit. I'm not sure what the difference is, or if they are the same thing, but I feel they are important.

look at my profile pic you can see them, but if you look inside your ski at the drain plugs youll see the tubes hooked to them and follow though tubes. and my exhaust with T bolt clamps. an IMO save you money and dont by the blowoff. spend the money on riva washers and mcmaster spring washers.

the blowoff or bypass are unnecessary on a non-modified ski. best is to not touch it..... at least in the beginning
