2003 GTX SC speed ?
hi guys I am totally new in the hobby.
today i went for my first ride with my ski. i noticed that there is no water or oil gauge to keep track of them.
1)how do I know when the engine is warm enough for hitting full throttle ?
2) If one is not so much interested in hitting full speed, what negative effects are there as far as the ski itself is concerned if not changing the wear ring ?
3)also what is the top speed for my machine so that I can check if the wear rings needs to be replaced ?
4)besides opening to full throttle is there some other way to check if the wear ring is ok ?
5) what other things should I check / have in mind as a first time owner ?
6)also as far as tuning is concerned... one tunes his ski in order to achieve higher top speeds or are there other type of modifications as welll /?
thx in advance !!!

a couple of more things to think about
1- in 03 the pump was a piece of Sh-t it is made of plastic and you will always have wear ring problems try to find a used 04 and up pump
2- in 03 the clutch is metal not ceramic but it still should be checked for slip
3- run it wide open your speed should be 61-63 and RPM`s 7500-7600

also can you tell from the pictures below if my wear ring is ok ?
1)as far as the spark plugs is concerned what swap are you talking about ? shouldn't i change them every season ? I just had them replaced for my winterization from a technician here in Greece. is that what you mean ?
2)FINALLY, if I am not going to use the ski for a month lets say, do I have to do something to the ski like winterization or there is no problem ?

Your pump is the plastic one.
As for the wear ring its hard to tell for the pic if its ok
But you can check if there is a space between the impeller and the wear ring bigger than 0,4-0,5mm then i think you sould chahge it

my speed was 64 mph on the dreamometer but I think i had higher rpm. i cannot really recall...
also the dreamometer must really be a dreamometer cause at 30 mph on the gauge it should be something like 22 !!!
