pump removal, driveshaft issue: advice needed

i was pulling my pump to send it to speedfreaks and i noticed that the green cap that was reverse threaded on the pump impeller was stuck on the driveshaft...

while pulling it off i could feel the driveshaft move twords me, then back twords the motor after i let go.

    should i be worried?

No this is normal. The Carbon seal/hat assembly is attached to the driveshaft pulling it back in as you pulled it out..It is held in by a C-clip..so dont try to pull your driveshaft out,it will not come out without a special tool..
