    Welcome to the Hulk

Connecting rods can only be removed and replaced by a professional crank shaft shop.

Except for the crank shaft, will you be rebuilding the engines yourself?

yes I rebuilt the engine by my self! I want to take off the connecting rod because I want to see if the crank is good.

The crank shaft can only be taken apart using a machine shop hydraulic press. About 10 or 15 tons of force is required.

When the crank is rebuilt, new crank and connecting rod bearings are installed. Then each section of the crank shaft is pressed back together using the press machine.

The crank shaft shop that knows how to rebuild the crank will also be able to measure and check the connecting rod.

Find a machine shop that is familiar with rebuilding Polaris Fuji engine crank shafts.

Ask the performance snow mobile enthusiasts who does Polaris crank shaft rebuilding in your area.

    Hi Jolin,

There's a good crankshaft guy in Vaudreuil, his name is Steve Desgagnés and his number is 514-973-2072. He does all kinds of cranks, engines etc. I've had him build a couple of cranks for me, mainly Rotax ones, but he knows his Polaris as well.

    Hope this helps.

Atlantic is a good place to get stuff from, but sometimes their shipping is SOOOO slow. The guy I mentioned can also get pistons, and he bores cylinders for a reasonable price.

You're welcome! Where in Montreal are you?

I know someone who's maybe parting out some Polaris in our area, search for member rob2337 (not sure if he's selling the whole ski or parting). Look in the Polaris classifieds, there are lots of things for your skis, and some "must have" equipment for your models (ride plate, intake, etc.). As for performance, you can look for used on ebay or on this forum. Not sure about new stuff, the usual Polaris guys can help you there.

check here for his skis: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=115409
