    Air intake question

I noticed that the RIVA kit is 3" in diameter, whereas most people seem to be using a 4". Does that extra 1" give you that much more, or does Riva just make a 3" because that is the diameter of the connection point on the SC. Therefore no need to have a 3->4" adapter?

I was running a 3" with Riva's filter and saw 7900-7950 rpm's. i just changed to the 4" hose with the 4" adapter my dad sells and my rpm's are now 8050-8100.

used the riva and saw instant 8100 to 8150 from 7900 rpms it also depends on our colder temp north49 but if you are going the cheaper method might as well go with the 4'' hose and get it done right the first time and money well spent.

I've got what I feel is the sweetest, best performing, 3" "outside air" intake system on the planet... and now I'm thinking of trashing it for a 4"
