Question back pressure on thru hull??

Over the winter i installed duel thru hull exhausts on my 04 rxp. The tips are custom and they are 3" diamater. now im thinking ahead and i do alot of jumping and with big 3 inch holes, what are my chances of all the water rushing through the exhaust and into the engine?? is it common on the thru hull? Should i look into getting flappers even tho it wont look as good, or could i rig up a 45 or 90 to hook on the tip for when i go jumping and can remove for rec riding??
    Any ideas or opinions?

you will be fine with your setup the way it is.your J-Pipe is curved enough and with the engine running the exhaust pressure will help blow it out..I wouldnt worry at all.IMO your good to go..

My buddy stalled a couple of times after jumping some big ones with his thru hull. I don't think you'll have a problem, as I recall it was only on a couple of occasions out of many jumps.

tops system retards engine rpm after you get too vertical in a jump, combine that reduction in rpm with alot fo backpressure from water jamming up the exhaust ports, could cause a stall.
but probably not possible to flood the engine with a jump. there a waterbox inline still correct?
    stall yes
    flood no.
