Is there a step by step how to on trip fuel pump?

I am really considering doing this on my 750 because of all of the horror stories. I've searched in the how to section for almost two hours and can't find a step by step how to. Is there something I'm missing? Does it come with detailed instructions?

Sorry if this has already been posted, I'm just lost.

    Thank you!

Then whats up with the restrictor? Do I need a different one? And where is the best place to get the new pump?

Yeah, I saw all that, I was just wondering if there was a more detailed how to, but I'm pretty sure I can get it from that after I sat there and thought about it. lol.

    Keep the restrictor you have.

Get the triple outlet fuel pump from John Zigler. Runs around $26.

Also replace ALL the fuel hoses if you haven't already.

Inspect the petcock for signs of restriction or replace it.

Wouldn't hurt to give the carbs a good, thorough cleaning if they haven't been serviced in a while.

Thanks. I just got the ski last year. It seems like everything has been gone through recently, but I got the ski off of a guys wife and he wasn't around anymore so she didn't know much about it. The lines seem to be in great shape, don't think I really need to worry about those.

Exterior appearance means nothing. Inside may be breaking down and clogging up filters.

Cheap insurance, but it's your call.

Yeah, I meant inside everything looks good. I've gone through a lot of it. Already replaced the plugs, fuel filter, sending unit is on the way, (haha). Fixed the MFD with the Christian How-To. I'll probably replace the lines while I"m doin the pump. Can't hurt and ain't that expensive. haha.

One more question, I got the pump from John and its waiting for me at home (out of town for a few days). Does anyone have a pic of where they mounted the pump? And how they attached it? I read somewhere you can't put it in the stock location or something? Thanks for the help.

    Kyle.
