RXPX Seat: Putting It Back Together
After my rxp-x seat was ruined, I've decided to put the RIVA seat cover on but the old one was un-salvagable.
I'm trying to keep water out and do this the right way.
I read the forum How To instructions but I do not have the original seat.
I have a couple questions for you seat gurus:
1) Whats the best way to keep water out? Should I cover the foam with a bit of plastic (4mil painters)?
2) Should these holes be filled with silicone or alone? drain / air holes?
3) Should / Can I remove these old seat strap clamps?
4) What the hell are these for?
Any advice appreciated!

the last pic are for a rear seat cowling which came on older model rxp's. and yes if your not going to need the the strap take it off.

I just had my seat redone. I took the old one off to let the foam dry and had them wrap it in plastic before they covered it with the Riva cover. I drilled out the rivets for the strap as well.

Thanks for all the help! Drilled out the OEM seat strap mounts and used some JB Water Weld then 220 grit to sand down.
Seat cover is next
