Neo Ion iPod Car Adaptor Inferface

Its an interface that connects your stock stereo to your ipod or iphone( all models except shuffle). Comes with the ABGM10 cable and adaptor to allow 3G and 3GS iphones to charger while playing music. Apple changed from firewire to usb only for the charging so the adaptor is needed for it to charge while playing. Would like to get $75 plus shipping for the whole setup.

Thanks! Yep that is correct with the adaptor it has. You can buy other adaptors for other vehicles.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx (my utility car)

Does not have satellite radio or external CD changer, but it does have a Band button.

According to the Neo Car Audio web site, it would take kit GM2L-POD/S-R05.

Does that mean I just need a different cable between your Neo unit and the Radio, or an entirely different Neo kit?

The GM iPod adapter directly connects to your radio, NO FM transmission or fuzzy sound! It gives you high quality audio, power and charging of the iPod as well as control on the radio and steering ...

~ If you have an External CD-Changer (usually found in trunk, glove box or center console) it must be disconnected. In-Dash CD Changer is not affected or disabled.
~ Radio MUST have a BAND button. If it doesn't, this kit will NOT work.
~ Navigation and Non-Nav radios are both compatible
~ Compatible with iPod™ Mini, Nano (1Gen, 2Gen, 3Gen), Photo, Video, Classic, and 1st gen iPhone, iTouch. [not compatible with 2nd Generation iTouch or 3G(S) iPhone and iPod Shuffle]

Looks like you just have to have the other cable. There are switches on the side of the neo unit that let you change things so it can be compatible with different head units.

What is the model/code for the Neo unit you have?

    How old is it?

After looking up the model it recommends for your car i noticed that it hooks up differently. Mine wires in through the AUX on the radio. They have a special one for you to wire in through the SAT radio. So I am not sure this would work.
