    137mm wheel in a 140mm charger??

Is it possible to run a smaller wheel in a 140mm charger??

Like does it matter at all if the back housing is machined larger than what it needs to be.

As long as the front has tight tolerances i wouldnt think the back would make a difference.

I have done this with an X wheel in a 140 mm housing, and though math dictates that the boost attained would be slightly less than when the extra 3 mm void is filled with "impeller", it certainly wasn't noticeable on my analog boost gauge... pretty much showed the same boost as my OEM X-charger.
