    Break In Oil

What do you guys use for break in oil and where can you get it? I know 96XPSS has posted good stuff about Dumonde, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've also read that you can break in with whatever oil that you plan on running. I'm working on a recreational 787. I'm planning on running Lucas semi-synthetic 2-stroke oil for normal operation. I've also read that you should stay away from synthetic for break ins. Any thoughts?

If you want the rings to seat quickly and properly, stay away from synthetics. Herer's the link for the oil-

Another thing I recently found, is that once this oil is used for break in, I haven't seen any surface rust occur when sitting and not fogging. My 2000 XP sat covered on my trailer from September to December, unfogged, and I pulled the head for inspection. Absolutely NO rust had formed on the cylinder sleeves!

Just another reason to use this product.

I would like to hear more about break in oil, I have (2) brand new 657X'S getting ready to go in the boat. I have 2 Gal. of Amsoil DOMINATOR Synthetic that I plan on running in it. I was just going to use the Dominator for the break in oil as well, but if thats not the right thing to do then talk me out of it.

I used it as recommended by Robert (96XPSS), and I am glad I did. Break in went really well, and I couldn't be happier

Dumonde is what I want to use, but where do you buy it from? Do they sell from thier website? I checked Ebay and nobody has break in oil for sale.

Shakedown, you can use the search feature to the left and enter Dumonde Tech and my nick. Many threads will pop up for you to read. I also run Dominator @ 50:1.

The best one is this one, and post #25 details the procedure.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
