    jetting novi48 stx-r 1200 limited

    Need help to setup my novi 48 on my stx-r 1200 limited.
    Where to start???
    I only race closedcourse and pumpgas 92okt.

    My stx-r:

    tauceti filter
    novi 48 with triple fuel pickup
    sxr 800 oem reeds and cage (i belive)
    no porting done to cylinder or crankcase
    miller head whith 46cc domes
    factory triple pipes whith cdi
    r&d scoop and ride plate
    Magnum pump 155
    Skat track impeller 16/21,5

    present jetting:

    return jet 115
    jetneedle 2,5
    spring? looks like silver but not shure
    high 150
    low 160

    I know there are some good tuners on this forum...thanks for help

    So first off just a couple questions...

    What is your compression with the 46cc heads or is that a typo..?? Did you mean 36cc??

    And who said they where 800 sxr reeds. Do you mean the cages or reeds and cages..??

    As far as jetting im sure you will be rich with what you have. I would start with 145 mains 135 pilots a 2.3 N/S with 95 G spring. Also drop your return jet to a 100.

    Im sure that setting will be rich as well but better to start some where so it will at least run some what.

    Check your compression though. Thats a priority. Because with the FP CDI and with the questionable Miller head domes of 46cc which I didnt know they made it makes me think you have 36cc which will put you in race gas... The only way to run pump with triples and the FP cdi is stock compression.

    I have manufacture new domes 46cc that fits miller head, squiz .050" and angle 10,5 degre.
    Reeds and cage i think is a sxr 800 not for shure. I can take some photos. i never ran this ski, i bought it whith engine break down.

    I looked at the sxr reeds and cages they look the same or very close so I doubt they make a differance with what we are dealing with.

    Ok Second are you running flat top pistons. And the next thing you need to do is do a compression test warm or cold it doesnt matter just something to go by.

    This will let us know more. With the tighter squish angle that is gonna make you need a higher octane but that will determine your compression.

    Hi, the motor is still on the bench in the garage and its 7v to first race. I will put it together in 1-2v. So i have not check the compression yet, but i have measure the domes and they are 46cc so it wold not be a problem.
    I wondering about the pto cylinder carb, should it have a larger mainjet compare to the other? if i run 145 in front and middle should i have 150 in the pto?

    I ran my triple with all the same jetting and not one off. I looked at your squish and that would more than likely be stock pistons but you still nedd a compression check when ya can because of the squish you have and depending on compression ....with the FP cdi you might be on the edge but untill then wont be able to tell.

    You are saying you are going to race it in 7 days???
