On March 28th Chris Macclugage of Macc Racing takes 1st place Overall and 1st in the Pro/Am Class. His time was 33.49.1 covering 38 miles. This is the first of three races for the APBA Triple Crown Offshore series on his #30 Yamaha FX-SHO.

Liquid Militia fellow team rider Shawn Alladio Places 9th place Overall and first in the Mfg. Stock Class on her Kawasaki Ultra 260X with a time of 36.24.9. Shawn is also a PWCOFFSHORE Team Rider and runs #4 TCO from last year's Triple Crown Points. Congrats to both LM team riders for their wins in this amazing race!

Yamaha was on top of the race pack with the 'Macc Attack' on point, holding off Sea Doo and Kawasaki watercraft across the RPM Racing Enterprises 'Sea Tow' finish boat in Avalon. The open channel race begins in Dana Point, California; racers traverse 38 miles across the Pacific Ocean to the beautiful town of Avalon on Santa Catalina Island. Racers team up for the ride back to the mainland and head over to the Awards. The PWCOFFSHORE team welcomed Chris Macclugage to the Triple Crown of Offshore with a Champagne tribute during the awards program.

The race pace was 'faster than fast', calm waters and aggressive offshore riders, challenged one another to a higher level of excellence. The offshore race community is the fastest growing community in PWC racing. Offshore is the place to test rider, machine and water, the competition is fierce, but in the end each racer is competing against themselves. It's a mental game as well as a controlled ride of water knowledge and horsepower efficiency. The waters of the Channel change constantly giving racers multiple levels of opportunity to push their own limits.

AWA member, Chris Macclugage shares insight on the fun, racing, and AWA - SoCalWatercraft Club friends. The film was cut by Bryant Lambert who once again captures the energy of a happening event! Check out the latest from Bryant: The Liquid Militia 'Rise of the Tide' DVD!
