    whatcha think?

looking to get another ski, I have narrowd it down to a gsxl or a gpr1200. I'll still keep my 97 spx but need something bigger to keep up with my buds new f15x. not that the spx can't but after awhile the chop slows you down. which would you guys/gals choose? and please don't be biased to sea-doo. btw, I refuse to post this on the Yamaha forum. the 951 and the 1200pv can both be modded, but which one will be the best all a around?

IMO i would pick the yami 1200 over the 951 seadoo, the 1200 is a better engine i feel and this is coming from a 96xp guy lol. The gsxl will be a lil faster than the 1200. Just make sure on the 1200 that you get the updated power valves. The gsxl doesn't have reverse either which i find handy and you can have 3 people on it if you want and im sure that it will pull tubes and skiers better than the seadoo.

I would get a 2002 GTX over a GPR. This hull will spank a GPR in the chop too. It's the best handling 3 seater hull out there, IMO.

thanks guys, i wasnt even considering a 3 seater but now.....
neither the gsxl nor the gpr have a reverse gate.

At least ride one before you buy. For serious long hauls (especially with a sexy babe rubbing your vest) the GTX rules.

ive ridden one and wasnt really impressed but then again im used to my spx. if i could, id get one of each. i figured the gsxl or the gpr would be almost as playful as my spx. no?

I think the gpr 1200 has reverse and it has a trim system. The gtx is 371 dry weight and the gpr is 306 dry weight. The gtx is heavier and wider and they are not as playful as the yami. The gpr looks more sporty also.

The GSX is a bit heavier, but the flat bottomed hull will still beat you like the X-4. The GPR is a much better ride. I personnally don't like the GPR's seat, it's like riding the side of a 55 gallon drum. If you want something similar in playfulness then a RX is really what you want.

I have not ridden an X4 or Yamaha so no comparison there.

Between my GSI ( same hull as the GSXL ) and GTXL the GSI will wear you down real fast in the chop, it porpoises easy and is hard to keep hooked up. The GTXL cuts the chop and stays hooked up much better.

i though about the RX but do you all feel its a little underpowered for a hull of that size compared to the gpr and gsxl?
