    handlebar extensions

Does anyone have pics or ideas on how to extend the bars on an RXP.
I do NOT want a finger throttle conversion. I have large gorilla like hands, and actually prefer the thumb throttle, but would like a little more room for my gps mount. There was pics in the how -to but are now gone. Thanks, Steve

    DIY

I made my own extensions. I added 1 1/4" on each end, I do not have a wide arm span ... I am vertically challenged. Happen to have the right size OD pipe around, had to machine the ID a bit. Cut section out of the extension pieces to match the cutout in the ends of the OEM handlebars. Tack welded the extensions to the handlebars in a couple locations. Got longer bolts to hold the grips on ... and walaa I had my DIY bar extensions. Bought a trigger throttle off eBay for $25. Cover still fits decent enough to not require a rework of it in the area of the handlebars.

You can buy the extensions for $35 a piece at Riva or just buy a Set of 07 handle bars...

    Jerry has a set.
