MACC Racing FZR/SHO Sponsons
I had the pleasure of meeting some great racers in Lake Havasu @ the Mark Hahn 300.
I was walking around the pits and saw a beautiful Monster Energy Yammi with these very unusual/amazing-looking sponsons on it. Low and behold....it was Chris MacCluggage!! Super-nice guy...very down-to-earth and approachable...I started to talk to him about his ski and yes.....the sponsons. I was kicking myself in the head after I talked with him because I didn't get a picture of the sponsons....but they just popped up on his website....and should be available in about 4-6 weeks. Here's the description from his website..........
The secret of your watercraft performance is to keep your jet pump and hull engaged with water contact. Our Macc Racing Sponsons provide adjustable pitch capability.
Sponsons are both a performance and a safety feature, by keeping your vessels keel on trim; cornering, tracking and vessel speed are maximized.
Our custom features include the following:
* Backing plate has 2 adjustments made of billet aluminum.
* Adjustable Backing plate provides forward or backward trim adjustments.
* Determine the perfect position for your riding style!
* Trim tabs are integrated into the backing plate design.
* This feature allows for extra adjust ability for less or more bow pressure, on your trim capability.
* Sponson blade has 4 different positions giving the rider greater selection adjustment
Strong - Sleek Design - Holds a Good Turn in Any Water Conditions - Speed Increase
I wanted to share this with you guys because as we unlock all the power in these Yamaha motors....it becomes very important from not only a performance but from a safety standpoint to make the necessary modifications to our skis so the hulls and pumps can stay hooked up as we ride our monsters!!
This is a big thing on my mind right now....I know when I get my ski back with all the Stage 3 goodies on it that its going to handle and perform much differently. So that will be my focus......
Jerry....any chance you will be selling these bad boys in the online store? Please..please..please

yeah you have to remember the R&D FZR sponsons
are just Ultra 250 sponsons with the holes drilled in a different place to suit the mounting points of the FZR hull.

I saw those sponsons at the 2009 World finals, looks like they were listed as Speed Magic sponsons. They also had a complete steering system in their booth for the FZR.
I think Macc racing is a dealer for Speed Magic.
