    New to skis. Need help

    Hi,

I recently purchased an sl750 and an slt750 with a tandum trailer from a local preacher. He informed me that the slt750 ran the previous summer(last summer, it is tagged for 09). The sl750 he thought the engine is locked up but cannot verify it.

My question is the slt750 turns over (Cranks) but does not start. I recently charged the battery and changed the spark plugs. The plugs do not seem to have a spark. So.... Where should i start? I have been browsing these forums since i bought them learning as much as possible.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Adam

    Welcome

Click below for lots of useful info

Since you have two Fuji engines of the same type, you can do some additional diagnostics by swapping parts.

Start with the battery. Charged or not, the important thing is how much voltage the battery can deliver while cranking the engine.

Put a multi-meter on the battery, and confirm that the voltage while cranking is above 10.6 volts. If it is not, then buy a new battery. AGM type are the best for PWC use.

Make sure the safety lanyard is in place on the handlebar.

Open the electrical boxes, and tell us what you find. Is there moisture or corrosion in either box?

Is the Reset button popped up?
If yes, push it back in.

Have a look at the Fuji engine info in the link below for some more tests, and common things you should check and pay attention to.

I took the plus off and cranked the engine over and it looks like water is coming out the top, shooting out of each cylinder

    Which engine?
The SLT 750, or the SL 750?

Water inside the engine is a bad thing. If the water has been in there more than a few hours, then the seller crank shaft roller bearings have rusted, and the crank shaft would need to be rebuilt.

The slt 750. What kind of cost are we talking about

Ok maybe my assumption of "Water" was wrong it smells like gas coming out of there would it be normal for a jet of gas to spray out if i turned it over without plugs in

What color and texture is the stuff that comes out?

    Brown, clear, milky?

Is it a mix of water and oil, or water and fuel?
