Thread: Jetworks mod?

I'm thinking of taking off the jetworks mod on my GPR as it spins bad out of the hole with the 800 grate. Will I lose any rpms on top with it removed?

Sounds like you want to run the 800 grate all the time. Must of us use the 800 grate for top speed runs.I have taken just the ball and spring out of my Jetworks valve and ran it that way.Speed/rpm was the same. The holeshot was better. With your 800 grate, its going to spin no matter what.

Hey Wood, I want to just put the whole stinger back to stock, no added water at the stinger. Does adding more water than stock increase rpms on top?

When i took the spring and ball out,i did not notice any rpm increase. Why dont you want to run the 1200 grate with the Jetworks?

Because I ride glass most the time, and the 800 grate is good for a real 2 mph gain in back to back testing.

Why not try a hole of 3/16 in the gasket and keep the jetworks valve

Just curious.....Is the added water helping build a bit more backpressure to develop more torque to "tune" the powerband ?

My holeshot was better with the ball and spring out because i was getting bad prop spin due to the stock Dynafly thats in it.With the spring/ball out,you are shooting water in the box the whole time.

and interesting to see that you didn't lose anything. Kewl.
I think I may give that a try
So.....I wodner if it will be safe to say, we don't need a jetworks at all ?
Maybe just a "metered" amount all the time such as what the I.D. of that jetworks is?
Hmmm.....If this proves well, we may only need just a fitting or an adjustable valve ....not the jetworks ?
