    Question about damaged Nozzle

I picked up a 96 gsx 787 last fall and noticed that the nozzle bar running down the center of it is bent and not straight like in this picture:

I have noticed that a lot of new models do not even have that bar. Would it be ok to cut it out and would this affect anything?

    Thanks

yes, you can cut it out. the only thing i can imagine it was there for was to aid in steering at lower speeds by helping direct the water better.

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that is more than likely what i will have to end up doing. I would assume that it being bent would cause steering to favor one side over the other.

If it is bent in one direction that could happen. Regardless, it is not important. Cut it out.
