Exclamation R1 and R2 reflash up to date reflash specs

I thought I would bring this back up for everyone to see. This is the latest up to date specs on R1 and R2 reflash information!--------------------------------------------------R&D ECU Reprogramming
R&D is proud to announce the soon to be released Yamaha FZR and SHO ECU reprogramming services. There has been a year of speculation and long awaited anticipation of these services becoming available. The research and development team at R&D have been testing and developing ECU programs to allow a range of performance levels to be reached for the recreational enthusiasts who are not interested in a full standalone aftermarket ECU. Entry-level programs will provide the enjoyment of a raised RPM limit setting as well as the internal boost limiter being either removed or raised. Ignition timing will be altered to safe performance levels that will allow the use of 91 octane pump gasoline. There will be several initial performance levels to chose from that will work with stock or R&D C1 and C3 Monster Wheels. Programs offered will be recreational performance tuned to safe AFR values, and can be further custom tuned (Richened) to accommodate additional boost levels. With the purchase of the R&D ECU Reprogramming Service, customers who have previously purchased an R&D Powershot Fuel Control Unit can send it in along with their ECU to R&D for free re-programming, to allow custom fuel tuning to work with the new ECU Programs. R&D Powershot Fuel Control Units will not be required on base entry programs. However, we recommend upgrading and using the Powershot for custom fuel fine-tuning. Fuel tuning or AFR conditions should always be checked and verified, as values can be slightly different from one craft to another. Higher performing programs are also under development and will be announced through updates on the R&D website. Stay tuned. R&D strongly suggests that AFR tuning be periodically verified using an Innovate LM1 or LC1 logging kit also available from R&D.

Thanks Philip for posting this R&D information. I am sure these prop suggestions are based on a 155 mm pump with a scat trak prop and are a good starting point for what pitches are required then you can tweek your prop from there to fine tune your desired rpm's With a 160 mm pump wear ring and a scat 160 mm prop I supect the TRAILING pitch needs to be lowered 1 to 2 pitch numbers to get the same rpm's I supect! There is a lot of good information now being posted to help everyone get there ecm/ supercharger wheel/ inner cooler/ pump combination dialed in much closser to correct the first try. You guys should take time to research all the information posted on the forum real good befor going out and just buying a bunch of parts that are not compatable to your set up. This will save you lots of money and time! Tommy Jordan

    Thumbs up Supercharger wheels

Supercharger wheels! This is what I think that compaires to each other: A R&D C-3 wheel is close to the same as a Riva B-1 and a E-Tec low boost wheel, A R&D C-5 wheel is close to the same as a Riva E-1 and a E-Tec high boost wheel. While there is a little bit of a differance in advetised boost numbers It is my opinion that these SC wheels are similar in boost out put at the same rpm. Tommy Jordan
