    msx 150 driveshaft/coupler separation

    How do you separate the driveshaft from the coupler? I tried using a monkey wrench on the driveshaft and a chain vice grip on the coupler and it didnt even move. Does anyone have any tips or advice?

    Have you removed the jet pump?

    The normal method is to use the special Polaris drive shaft removal tool PW-46593 to turn the drive shaft.

    Pirate33 used a couple of cheater extensions to apply some torque to the problem, along with some torch heat;

    Normal thread direction.
    Counterclockwise to loosen

    I just heated it with a torch and gave it another try. I snapped the head of my monkey wrench clean off. I cant believe how tight the coupler is. I dont feel like waiting for the removal tool to come in but I guess I have no choice.

    When I got this new (used) driveshaft it has the coupler attached to it. Is there any way to get it in the ski without removing the coupler?
